UAE - Mubasher: The UAE has launched several housing projects in 2025 to boost family stability and enhance living standards, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM).

The Sheikh Zayed housing program approved 2,971 housing applications at a combined value of AED 2.06 billion from January until the third quarter (Q3) of 2025.

This initiative included 522 presidential grants worth AED 355 million and 595 government housing loans totaling AED 246.20 million.

It also covered 24 government housing grants valued at AED 19 million and 1,830 housing loans standing at AED 1.44 billion.

The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure rolled out another initiative to secure financing for beneficiaries of housing loans, with insurance coverage up to age 95, offering long-term protection for Emirati families.

Additionally, Abu Dhabi signed AED 106 billion deals to build 13 communities with over 40,000 homes and plots for citizens.

The agreements include 25,244 housing units valued at AED 94 billion and 14,876 residential plots worth AED 12 billion.

Set for completion by 2029, ongoing projects, including West Baniyas and Yas Canal, bring the total housing under construction to 45,000 units.

The emirate also introduced a community support subsidy of AED 250,000 to be automatically deducted from the total loan amount for all housing loans at AED1.75 million. It extended repayment terms to 30 years.

On its part, Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport introduced the Value Housing Program to enhance flexibility in the emirate’s real estate market.

In 2025 alone, the program approved AED 11.38 billion in housing benefits for 7,218 citizens.

In January, Dubai launched AED 5.40 billion in housing projects for 3,004 homes, followed by an AED 2 billion package for 1,100 units across several areas.

During the first half (H1) of 2025, the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment greenlighted 3,027 support packages worth AED 1.72 billion.

Last May, Dubai signed a deal to deliver 17,000 affordable homes for key workers.

Sharjah also passed 2,000 land grants in February and an AED 335 million package in July for 431 families with full housing support.
